Made from premium U.S. grown cotton, this natural batting is needle-punched with a durable scrim to provide stability, softness, and long-lasting quilt performance. This king size batting measures 120 inches by 124 inches, making it ideal for large bed quilts, heirloom quilts, and oversized quilting projects. The breathable cotton fibers provide natural warmth without excess weight, allowing quilts to drape beautifully while remaining comfortable year-round. Warm & Natural can be quilted or tied up to 10 inches apart, making it suitable for both machine quilting and hand quilting techniques. The batting is ready to use directly from the package, eliminating the need for prewashing while maintaining consistent performance during quilting. After quilting, finished quilts can be machine washed and dried. Expect approximately 3% shrinkage when washed in cold water. For quilters who prefer a vintage puckered look, warm water washing may produce up to 5% shrinkage. Because the cotton is mechanically cleaned instead of chemically processed, tiny natural plant fibers may remain in the batting. These fibers are harmless and give quilts a distinctive natural character that many quilters love.
